Move more!

One of the best things you can do for your body is to keep it moving throughout the day. Prioritizing your steps and N.E.A.T. (non-exercise activity thermogenesis or unintentional exercise) helps with digestion, weight loss, mood and more.

If you don’t have time to or don’t enjoy formal exercise, getting steps in each day is even more important. If you have a step tracker, shoot for at least 8,000 steps per day. If not, you can do simple things like parking far away from the store, taking a couple 10-15 minute walks each day, walking the dog more, running around with your kids, etc. There are tons of ways to get steps in, even just around the house.

I’m fortunate to have a remote job and treadmill, so I put my laptop on the desk attachment and walk ‘n work whenever I can. Sometimes my coworkers make fun of me, but I’m committed to my step!

What are some creative things you do to get your steps in each day?
